File Format:
All artwork should be provided as high resolution digital files. Please provide files in Quark XPress, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or InDesign.
Please save all images in CMYK format.
If you are creating the file in Quark Xpress, you will need to reduce files larger than 48 inches to a proportional size. (Quark Xpress does not allow files larger than 48 inches in either direction.) We will resize the image to your desired output size when the graphics are printed.
All files are printed as full color process, so working in 1 or 2 colors will not lower costs.
Please Layout Files With Reference Pantone Colors When Possible
& Include a Color Proof For Each Display.
Job Completion Time:
Production of graphic prints REQUIRES 2 WEEKS after receiving file. If you need your graphics sooner, please call us before ordering to see if we can meet your desired delivery date.
File Preparation:
· All Photoshop files should be CMYK and saved as an .eps
o Do not use compression within the .eps
o No .psd’s, .tif’s, jpg’s, gif’s, 5 part eps’s or other file formats
o Quark does not handle large .tif files properly
· Resolution of at least 120 ppi @ 100% size. Maximum resolution needed is 150 ppi.
(240 dpi @ 50%, 480 dpi @ 25%).
· Include both printer and screen fonts or outline fonts. No TrueType Fonts Please.
· If you are creating the document in either Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign and you are certain there will be no additional changes, please turn all fonts to outline. Please include the font anyway. If we must make a change, we can substitute.
· We must receive all images, graphics, fonts (both printer and screen) and files needed to print your job. If you are using Illustrator, and you choose to save the file with placed images, please send the image files anyway. Provide color copy of image for reference and image placement. Leave files layered. Do not flatten
· Send any guidelines or print samples for approximate color matching. Desired colors are specified in Pantone, Pantone specifications allow us to match colors closest. Exact color matches are not always possible.
Tips for Preparation:
· When creating 4-color black we recommend: 65%C, 53%M, 51%Y, 100%K
· When possible, logos and text should be created and kept in vector formats. (.ai/.eps)
· Scanned images should be created as .eps files in CMYK (150 dpi at final output size)
